First Presbyterian Church of Newark

Margaret Bellisomi
Organist

Margaret started piano lessons before the age of five, in Oakland. She was always playing for one event or another starting in the third or fourth grade. Upon moving to Fremont she was asked to substitute for a church organist at the last minute, which led into being offered that position forty-seven years ago.

In addition to her employment here at FPCN, Margaret has been the choral accompanist at San Leandro H.S. for twenty-seven years, and teaches piano lessons from her home. “I have also had the privilege of being the accompanist for many choral Festivals presented by world renowned composers and conductors including Dr. Charles Hirt, Dr. Howard Swan, and Dir. Jester Hairston. (my favorite!)” She also is the organist and pianist for the Ohlone College Community Chorus and plays for other school productions in her spare time.
